Thank you for joining me. I am so glad you are here! Get to know me and the things that inspire me to write.

I was born in Zimbabwe, Africa. We moved around a great deal, so I came to an early understanding of the importance of a solid family unit. I was both homeschooled and traditionally schooled so can speak to the benefits and challenges of each. My father was killed in a motorcycle accident when I was a young child. Growing up without a dad made my relationship with Jesus very important to me. I experienced His faithfulness in my life in tangible ways and felt the closeness of "Abba Father".

I met my husband Steve while in high school, and together we attended Prairie College, in Alberta. I graduated with a Bachelor of Religious Education Degree. Our desire was to serve overseas not knowing how or where. God has kept us in the US serving in our local church but we are also involved in caring for and supporting Christian Entrepreneurs working in other parts of the world. I have served in various capacities in our home churches, which include worship teams, children's ministry, women's studies/leadership, mentoring and event planning. I have also administrated a homeschool group.

Beyond my writing, I have had the blessing of being a conference exhibitor and speaker, sharing Chasing Adulthood with families. I have spoken at conferences in Denver, Arizona, and Mexico. Topics include Cultivating Godly Mentorships in our kids, Discipling our Children, The Function of Families, God's Design for Families, and more. If you are interested in my topics or would like to schedule me to speak at your event please visit my Contact Me page.

I am married to Steve, my husband of 32 years, and have three amazing children. I enjoy writing, caring for my flowers, meeting friends for coffee and traveling. I'm a new grandma so spending time with my grandson is a huge priority!
Shortly after Steve and I were married, we moved to the Bay Area of Northern California where we lived for twenty-five years, raising our family. In 2019 we were looking for a change and a slower pace of life. The Lord clearly called us to Colorado, and we’ve never looked back! We appreciate the wide-open spaces, beautiful mountains, and our caring and connected neighborhood.

Our daughter Hannah and her husband Conner live near us and recently had their first child. Our son Mitchell has made his home in Phoenix, Arizona and works in full-time ministry at his church. Alex is graduating from high school this year and enjoys his job at the Lego store. Steve and I feel very blessed that all three children have made individual and personal commitments to follow Jesus. What more could we ask for?
